Emily Ratajkowski
Emily O'Hara Ratajkowski born June 7th, 1991, is an American model and actress. She was born in London and was raised by American parents and grew up in San Diego. In March 2012, she was on the cover for the erotic magazine sweets!. This led to her appearance in two music videos: Robin Thicke's track "Blurred Linings", which was the number-one song in a variety of countries in 2013, and Maroon 5's track "Love Someone". Ratajkowski appeared in both the 2014 and 2015 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues. In 2015, Ratajkowski was able to make her runway debut modeling for Marc Jacobs during New York Fashion Week. Since since then, she's been on the Paris Fashion Week runway for Miu Miu. Ratajkowski was featured in the commercial for Buick's Super Bowl in Super Bowl 50 (2016) and is now the spokesperson for brands like DKNY, The Frye Company, Kerastase, Paco Rabanne and DL1961. Ratajkowski was an actor in San Diego when she was a kid. Then, she became a recurring part on Nickelodeon's iCarly series (2009-2010). In 2014, she made her feature film debut as the mistress of Ben Affleck in Gone Girl. Her other roles include the films Entourage (2015), We Are Your Friends (2015), I Feel Pretty (2018) and Welcome Home (2018), and the mini-series The Spoils Before Dying (2015) and the anthology series Easy (2016). Ratajkowski is the spokesperson for Planned Parenthood and a champion for women's health. Her views on sexual expression have been met with criticism and praise from males and females. She has also been self-described as feminist. Ratajkowski was exposed to nude female figures in art and photography during her childhood, including through the work of her father and the photography of Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts and Herb Ritts. This exposure helped her prepare for work in the nude genre. She stated that "We are a society where men watch pornography but then they are offended by classic nude photographs or portraits." She was strongly influenced by Third-wave Feminism and works like The Beauty Myth and Promiscuities, Naomi Wolf.
