Drew Barrymore Bio

Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22 1975) is an American actress. She has received numerous accolades including an award from the Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award in addition to in addition to five Emmy Award nominations and a BAFTA nomination. She is part of the Barrymore family, and is the great-granddaughter of John Barrymore. Barrymore was a renowned child actor through her performance in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. After a very publicized childhood that was characterized by drug and alcohol abuse, she released her autobiography Little Girl Lost. Then, she appeared in a string of successful movies throughout the 1990s which included Poison Ivy, Boys on the Side, Mad Love, Batman Forever, Scream and Ever After. Barrymore was also a part of Adam Sandler in a few films, including The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. Barrymore became famous as an actor in her child years with her part in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. Following a highly publicized childhood characterized by drug and alcohol abuse, she published her autobiography Little Girl Lost.
